Certified 50 ton Master with over forty years of experience on and in the water including
sail and power boat operation, SCUBA instruction, excursion leadership, and
organization management. He is recognized as an excellent seaman with special strengths in navigation and leadership. He has experience in large and small vessels, and both inshore and offshore voyaging. His degree is in Organization Management from Midway College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He has taken hundreds of hours of additional training specific to safety, regulations, navigation, and boat handling. He regularly cruises for months at a time on his own sailing yacht.
