NASSAU, NEW PROVIDENCE ISLAND
Cruisers Lunch:

Each Thursday cruisers meet to exchange information, share sea stories, and break bread together.

Nick and Carolyn Wardle organize the Cruisers Lunch. They are long time cruisers and now Bahamas residents. They also are active volunteers for BARSA (Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association). They broadcast weather information on single side band, VHF, and Ham frequencies. Because of folks like them cruising in the Bahamas is the wonderful experience we so enjoy.

We were in Nassau while the Family Regatta was running in George Town. After the big race the boats went back to their normal islands. These are a couple from Nassau.

Ardastra Gardens. Imagine the Singapore Zoo, Botanical Gardens, and Bird Park squeezed down to about 2 acres and done on a tight budget. It was a nice thing to do however and we enjoyed it.

Conch salad for lunch. Solomon makes it fresh for us at a road side stall on Potters Cay.
