OTHER BOATS ALONG THE WAY

It is hard to get a picture of your boat underway, thus when we are close to other boats, we frequently take their picture in hopes of passing it along to them. When both boats are underway and conditions are vigorous, it is hard to hold the camera still and get a good shot but sometimes we get a very good one. We have already posted some boat photos, but are adding this page as a bonus.

While we mostly try to get boats while underway, we will include some at anchor. Enjoy

We have seen Zingara several places along the way this year. We took this photo going south from Nassau to the central Exumas.

We met Orca first at Melbourne, FL.  They knew us from participation in Cruisers Forum and stopped to introduce their selves. This shot is at anchor in Calabash Bay, Long Island.

We met Distant Drum at the fuel dock in Georgetown. Their dog is much better behaved than ours. :-) This photo is sailing out of The Bight at Cat Island.

The R/V (Research Vessel) Coral Reef II is from the Shedd Aquarium. We feel a special link with The Shedd because of our many special visits there hosted by our friend Don who is on the board.

We moored next to Coral Reef II at the south mooring field at Warderick Wells in Exuma Land and Sea Park.

We passed Southern Spirit while sailing to Nassau on April 14. The boat isn't in the Georgetown Regatta list so I am not sure of the owner. If you know the owners of this boat, please let them know I have a few good photos of her under sail.
