CRUISING THE EXUMAS

 

 Highbourne Cay: We skipped Alans Cay where the iguanas live because of weather and ducked in here at Highbourne.

 

  

Warderick Wells, Headquarters of the Exumas Land and Sea Park is always a favorite stop.

Compass Cay is a nice stop. We stayed at a dock since they have removed their moorings

Black Point was a new stop for us this year but we are sure we will be back.

Pam & Don Pyke relax on the foredeck as we sail from Black Point to Staniel Cay.

Staniel Cay was nice again this year although we had to abandon the marina one day and anchor between Big and Little Majors to get westerly protection from an approaching squall line.

Great Exuma/George Town:

CARTOONS: Don and Pam Pyke sailed with us our first couple of weeks in the Exumas. In addition to being a fine artist, Don has a flair for catching the moment in a cartoon.
